Thanks to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Cities rating system framework -- we crafted our 2050 Master Plan, which is a 30-year comprehensive plan to make us a leader in resilient, healthy cities that foster community-driven implementation while improving the quality of life for all residents. The Southern Nevada Health District is planning to begin administering the pediatric covid-19 vaccine to those between the ages of 5-11, starting this Wednesday November 10th. The vaccine will be available on a walk-in basis at their main office location on S. Decatur Blvd. Other pharmacies around town are also offering the vaccine after the CDC signed off on the shot for younger children.
Also, Sheriff Joe Lombardo will be honoring several officers this weekend at their annual Best of the Badge Gala. Awards are give to those who have shown compassion and courage in dangerous and violent situations. Among the honorees is Shay Mikalonis who will be awarded with the Purple Heart as well as the Medal of Valor.

We’re inviting you to come learn the ins and out of becoming a mobile food vendor in southern Nevada at this year’s 1st annual Regional Mobile Food Compliance and Safety Expo. The city of Las Vegas, Southern Nevada Health district, Clark County, North Las Vegas and Henderson will all be part of this expo. There will be inspections of your food trucks on site, plus you’ll have access to food truck suppliers and workshops to learn the rules of operating a mobile food vehicle.

The Shaq courts at the Doolittle Complex were unveiled this past weekend by the basketball legend himself, Shaquille O'Neal. O'Neal was joined by city of Las Vegas Mayor Carolyn Goodman and Councilman Cedric Crear for the event.
