- The Public Service Division, MDDI and ACRA have taken into account the findings of the Panel and have reviewed the roles, responsibilities and actions of the relevant officers involved. While there was no malicious or wilful wrongdoing by the officers involved, there were inadequacies in their judgement and actions. Appropriate measures are being taken against them, ranging from counselling to retraining to reductions in performance gradings.

- The Government will proceed with the West Coast Extension in two phases. The first phase will extend the Jurong Region Line (JRL) from Pandan Reservoir station to connect with the Cross Island Line at West Coast station by the late 2030s. The second phase will further extend the JRL from West Coast station to connect with the Circle Line at Kent Ridge station by the early 2040s. This will enhance rail connectivity for residents in the West, and support future developments along the corridor.

The qualifying age for SEC will also be raised to 69 years old. The Ministry of Manpower will also convene a Tripartite Workgroup on Senior Employment later this year to improve the employability of seniors.
