"Over the years, we've been out there a few times," YAUFR Battalion Chief Todd Heilman told the York Daily Record. "Our firefighters were familiar with the property, so we had an idea what to expect. We know what to do to mitigate the fire and stay safe."
The magnitude of the blaze, however, was unexpected.
When firefighters arrived, a one-story, approximately 50-by-100 foot, metal-roofed building was engulfed, the flames leaping through the roof, expelling a huge plume of black smoke. The fire had also spread to nearby trailers, according to the fire department.

Retaining the use of chocolate – which spiked in price due to poor weather-and-disease related harvests in West Africa in 2024 and the tariffs imposed by the Trump Administration in 2025 – would have increased the price of a box of Stars to more than $8, according to Stauffer’s owner Meiji, a multi-national food and pharmaceutical manufacturer headquartered in Japan.
