Yukon Pizza is a family-owned business with rich traditions. Founder Alex White’s Great-Great-Grandpa started the family yeast culture during the Klondike Gold Rush in the Yukon territories. The group serves over 40 schools across the valley and also helps out with the needs of city departments and community centers. When the pandemic forced the world to shut down, AmeriCorps members stepped up and formed a community navigator program to help support kids with distance learning. And this is just one of many AmeriCorps community outreach initiatives. The group consists of people with boots on the ground, ready to serve. The Clark County Regional Flood Control District has partnered with the Discovery Children's Museum to deliver an important message to children. Kids can visit Drainger Danger at the museum to receive flood safety tips along with the chance to win a prize!
