- Last Saturday, Apr. 29, the Colorado State softball team (24-17, 8-8) hosted the Fresno State Bulldogs (20-26, 9-8) in the second of a three-game weekend series. Coming off a walk-off in the opener, the Rams got off to a slow start, surrendering a three-run bomb to straight-away right by Fresno slugger Juliana Wilson early. The game would remain relatively distant until the bottom half of the 6th, when CSU mustered a six-run inning to grab a slim 6-5 advantage heading into the 7th. Down to their last out, Fresno infielder Alesia Denby stepped up to the plate with a runner on and drove a line drive into the right-center field gap to even the scoring, sliding into third base for a triple. - Join Gideon Aigner as he makes his Grampa's classic recipe for a special event! This meal is perfect for any family dinner and will supply leftovers for days. The recipe goes as follows:
1 Rack of St. Louis Style Ribs
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
Brown Sugar Rubs
Cinnamon
Cling Wrap
Aluminum Foil
BBQ Sauce
1/4 Onion
Here's how:
1. Pre-heat oven to 300
2. Take ribs out of package- rinse with cold water if dirty
3. Dust heavily with onion powder and apply a goodly amount of dry rub - start on back, along with garlic powder and cinnamon - then apply to front
4. Wrap ribs in saran wrap double/triple layer- then a double layer of aluminum foil
5. Place on cookie sheet
6. Cook at 275-300 for 3 hrs. Foil will poof up as liquids boil inside pouch
7. Take off all wraps and place under broiler to "crunch" them up if desired for 5-8 minutes- or in hot oven (450-475) until textu...

- On Wednesday, April 12, the Colorado State softball team (19-14, 5-7) hosted Utah State (13-17, 5-5) as part of a weekday afternoon doubleheader. After dropping the earlier contest 6-0, courtesy of a complete game shutout by Aggies starter Hailey McLean, the Rams aimed to split the shortened series. Down early again, CSU would plate a runner for the first time of the day in the bottom half of the fourth when Danielle Serna chopped a ground ball through the left side for a base hit, scoring Ashley York. Two more runs would score to give the Rams a slim 3-2 advantage. And in the end, that's all they needed, as Sydney Hornbuckle dominated the Aggies' bats in relief, allowing just three base runners in three innings of work. CSU would pad some insurance and cap off the afternoon with a spectacular diving catch in center by York for a 7-2 victory. - On Saturday, April 2, the Colorado State softball team (17-10, 3-3) hosted its first-ever home game, welcoming the UNLV Lady Rebels (16-17, 2-6) for the second of a three-game series. The action under the lights was a milestone for the program, seeing the stands packed with standing-room-only, and many fans scattered around the grass beyond the outfield wall, all joining the celebration in the Rams' new palace. Unfortunately, however, it did not lead to success on the field. UNLV plated six runners in the first inning, knocking CSU starter Julia Cabral out early. After an exchange of long balls by CSU’s Peyton Allen and UNLV’s April Visser in the third and fourth innings respectively, the breezy and cool evening became night, with the Lady Rebels up 7-2 entering the sixth.
