- Retired US Public Health Service Rear Admiral and former Assistant Surgeon General, Anne Schuchat, MD, delivered the 2025 Langmuir Lecture, titled "Consequential Epidemiology: An EIS Love Story." Dr. Schuchat fondly recounted the stories of several EIS officers whose dedication and hard work saved lives and protected the public's health. Importantly, she provided timely and practical advice for those working in public health. She even enchanted the crowd by singing not one, but two songs!
