They chase elusive jungle rodents like agouti and capybara into deep pools, sometimes staying submerged for more than 30 seconds. Once a bush dog makes a kill, the gang gets together to share in the spoils.

- Honey badger vs. mole snake: who will win? | Smithsonian Channel #WorldSnakeDay #Shorts

- Both of these predators can inflict deadly pain, but does a mole snake really stand a chance against a honey badger many times his size?
The mole snake isn't venomous, but it's a powerful constrictor. Its powerful bite inflicts painful wounds that can be fatal when infected.
Honey badgers also have a mean bite...and long claws that allow them to easily rip meat from bones.
The snake targets the head, the badger's weak spot, but the honey badger doesn't back down. As soon as the badger immobilizes the snake's jaw, it's game over.

- Mongoose vs. black mamba: Who will survive? | Smithsonian Channel #Shorts
- Date posted
- Description
- They may look like featherweights in the ring, but these are two of the most lethal predators on the planet. The mongoose has razor sharp teeth and lightning speed, while one bite from a mamba can kill 15 grown men.
The mamba relies on venom to sedate victims, but here's the kicker: the mongoose has an antidote to her poison.
The toxins in snake venom attach to chemical receptors in their victims and block communications between nerves and muscles. Mongoose receptors have mutated so that venom simply bounces off the muscle cells. He's literally immune to the danger.
